Multi day trips on Eleven Point available. Start at Thomasville or Cane Bluff outside of Alton, Past Greer and Turner's Mill and other places, on2 Riverton, on 2 the state line. These are trophy trout waters and keep your Missouri license up 2 date. Most all of the Missouri part is through Mark Twain National Forest. Rapids don't get to class two, but the class ones and one point fives are many and the wildlife and scenery, caves and hiking are outstanding. My goal is2 put in at Thomasville, six or seven days later take out on Spring River @ Imboden or Ravenden.

To James Ranch

Directions:

From Little Rock – Take north 167 to Hoxie, take hiway 67 to Pocahontas.  After crossing the Black River in Pocahontas, take hiway 62 out of town to Hoelscher lane.  Down Hoelscher about 3 miles, take a left on Old Ferry Lane and follow it to the Eleven Point River.

We do mostly lower Eleven Point.  Riverton--in Missouri to Myrtle ending at a music show at Woody's Camp and Canoe. June 17 is Dalton to James Ranch, just past hiway 90 bridge on your map, ending at a music show.. Also hiway 90 or James Ranch to Birdell (hiway 62.) My nephew Garret and his friends are super cool, they do a three or four day trip starting in the Mark twain National Forest up near Thomasville, Mo. The skill level need is lower, as instead of waterfalls, the Eleven Point tends to slide over soft gravel shoals. There are some maneuvers around log jams, etc, but the lower is generally an easy float.

HERE is a decent map of the area.
