I mountain bike from  Highland to Bayou Access in three hours. The ultimate trip is leave Highland at nine am. Ride to Bayou Access in Mammoth Spring canoe back to Rio Vista 2 in Hardy. I carry flat and chain fixing equipment. Water Bottles or Hydra Paks are a must.

I like2 ride with recreational horse riders. It's about the same speed, they may leave u behind on steep uphills, but u usually catch them on the downhill. It also helps train the horses2 b calm around unusual happenings.

In Memphis I like to ride from Wa1nut Grove all the way under Summer on the Wolf River. I also hit Beale Street from Sycamore View. Actually this year I changed it up, now that there is a pedestrian/bike bridge over the Mississippi near Beale I stayed in Tom Sawyer RV Park in West Memphis right on the bike trail. It's an eight mile, perfectly level trip2 Beale, ez ride even if u had a few. I did it four nights in a row in early may this year 2018.

The skill level is not so high  on my standard trip. It starts with some flat river plains, gravel and pavement, then a climb through cedars on jagged cliff rock I finally made last year, usually a short push, the only one on either trip, although a downhill gets pretty hairy. I can ride some big hills, even over on Buffalo River I didn't push. You can really veg in a canoe after a ride, and the last leg is almost always downhill.

Alexander Wildlife refuge near my home here in Highland has many trails, Spring River or Rock Creek are nice rewards. My standard loop down to Spring River and Rock Creek from my house is twenty two miles. I have a twenty six mile ride I call Strawberry Skies. This should be done by May though, as Strawberry River becomes too shallow to float by summer. Starting in Highland rocks because it's just that, high land. Riding ridges and planning your trip enable more downhills than uphills, misses messy bottlenecks or shoulderless roads, or long steep roads or trails, as opposed to gradual. I'm a true rider, attacking hills, enjoying coasts. Mountain Bikes, man they can save this freaking planet. Look for me at Memphis in May.

Little Rock is a good ride. I get all over town, plus they have the longest pedestrian bridge in the world, and two other pedestrian bridges over the Arkansas or Maumelle Rivers.

I used2 ride Highland2 Williford or back every day. C Rhonda. She didn't always have a smile on her face but would manage2 give me one eventually.

I actually do more urban Ebike now. I ride a Rad Cargo Electric bike. Getting in gr8 shape. But I always have my mountain bikes red e2 go in case of rain or challenge. I visit my mother in the afternoons and go wherever regardless of heat and in real time. I zip around Cherokee Village, Ash Flat, or Hardy, all five miles from my home, with zero battery depletion. I use a little getting back of course. More pics2 come...
